WHAT WE DO
These include goat rearing, crop farming, baking, basket/mat making, livestock farming, photography, Poultry, Bee keeping, making energy saving stoves, and briquettes. Many of our targeted beneficiaries fall here and hardly have any formal or informal training. However, they get training in simple book keeping so that they can manage their income projects.
Formal education
Over 400 school dropouts were enrolled in other institutions like Teacher training, and were later helped get employed in government and private schools.
These have had a multiplier effect in their communities in terms of skilling school dropouts, providing basic needs to the elderly, and child headed families. 48 Orphans were taken through formal school up to graduate level. They include:
- 2 Civil Engineers, 1 Architect
- 4 Nurses, 6 Economists
- 15 Accountants
- 6 Human Resource Specialists
- 4 IT Specialist
- 10 Social Workers
Provision of Life Skills/Informal Education
Life skills included tailoring, hairdressing, catering, crafts, plumbing, electrical wiring, construction, carpentry, welding, driving, joinery, and mechanical. Over 600 people have been trained to date, and are empowering others in a tremendous way. Many of these were helped get formal and informal employment while some have generated own employment, and employed countless others.
